Child Chaperone

Blackpool Community Theatre CIC

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and responsible child chaperones to assist during rehearsals, performances, and promotional events. This role is essential to ensure the safety and well-being of our young performers as they engage in their creative activities. Chaperones will help supervise rehearsals, manage transition times, and provide support during performances, making sure that each child feels comfortable and secure in their environment. In addition, chaperones will be involved in promotional events, helping to encourage and foster a positive atmosphere. If you enjoy working with children and have a passion for the arts, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a difference in their experience. We welcome individuals with suitable experience or a genuine interest in contributing to the development of our young talents. Join us in creating a supportive space for our stars of tomorrow!

What skills do I need?

Working with children requires a unique blend of patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills. It is essential to not only connect with the kids but also collaborate effectively with colleagues and parents. Being punctual and reliable is crucial in this field, as children thrive on routine and dependability. Arriving on time shows respect for everyone's schedule and helps create a stable environment for the children to learn and grow. Building positive relationships with others fosters a supportive atmosphere, enabling both children and adults to feel valued and understood. Ultimately, the ability to work harmoniously with others while consistently meeting expectations lays the foundation for a thriving educational experience.
