Café Assistant

The primary role of the Café Assistant is to Clean the café equipment, floors, fridges, coffee machine, and all work surfaces to ensure good hygiene as and when required. Clear tables and café floor area, as well as the daily cleaning of all kitchen utensils, pots, pans, serving dishes etc, as and when required. The post will be based @The Grange, Blackpool.

Tasks

• maintaining a hygienic environment by cleaning surfaces and equipment regularly

• clearing plates and cutlery from tables to prepare for incoming customers

• washing dishes

• sweeping and cleaning café and kitchen floor area

• welcoming customers

What skills do I need?

Essential skills - 

• Be organised and able to deal with busy periods within the café
•  Ability to deliver accurately to instruction given

Desirable skills - 

• • Previous work experience within a Charity
• • Previous work experience dealing with the public
• • Ability to communicate with people at different levels within the organisation and externally
• • Good communication skills
• • Ability to use own initiative
