Event Assistant

We run social events as part of our Meet n Match project, which is a friendship and dating agency, for people with a learning disability and autistic adults. Events are open to the public and our members supporting people to make new connections and reduce social isolation whilst having fun.

Your tasks as a volunteer event assistant are to help set up and decorate the venue, greet people, take entrance fee, sell raffle tickets, help people to dance and socialise and most importantly help people to have a fun time at the event, making sure people feel comfortable and are connecting with each other.

What skills do I need?

Fun, friendly and outgoing people to support our event participants to have a great night out. 

When do I need to be available?

Details

Volunteers are generally required to support running the evening disco, pub night and Karaoke events. We also require volunteers during the day for our member only events, visiting castles, playing Golf, visiting museums etc.
