Event Volunteer

RAF Benevolent Fund

The RAF Benevolent Fund has an active, national team who organise and attend events to promote, fundraise and reach out to the public as well as members of the RAF Family. Our Community Fundraising team organise our attendance at events in the community such as airshows, challenge events, bucket collections in the community and local shows & fairs.

Event volunteers are needed to support events organised by our teams to maximize the impact of our presence at these events to raise awareness and vital funds.

This year we are attending the Blackpool Airshow and would love the support of volunteers at the event.

Activities that you may be asked to help with include:

  • Helping with event set up and clear down
  • Engaging with the public, sharing information about the work of the Fund.
  • Redirecting in depth questions about the Fund to relevant members of Fund staff.
  • Selling Fund merchandise from the stall, handing cash and taking card donations.
  • Holding a collection tin or bucket in specified locations to receive donations.

Dates and times:

We are looking for volunteers for the following days and times:

  • Saturday 8 August 9.00am to 5.00pm
  • Sunday 9 August 9.00am to 5.00pm
