Exhibition Coordinator

Are you organised, enthusiastic and have a passion for art?

We are currently seeking a Volunteer Exhibition Coordinator to support the running of art exhibitions which take place twice a year at local venues. 

Founded in 1884, we are one of Britain’s oldest art societies and still going strong today! We’re a welcoming group of artists and art lovers who meet regularly in our purpose built studio (close to Stanley Park) to create, exhibit and share our passion for art.

What skills do I need?

You will:
  • arrange two exhibits a year, liaising with the venues and booking
  • transporting artwork to the venue
  • arranging/displaying the artwork
  • labelling the art work
  • handling artwork sales on behalf of the society/artist
  • completing/filing necessary paperwork 

Skills required:

  • good at record keeping and organisation
  • an eye for detail to ensure the artwork is displayed well
  • physically capable of lifting, transporting and displaying
