This role requires the volunteer to
- coordinate the rota for the stewards at the Lytham Heritage Centre via phone calls and email. It can be done mainly from home.
- produce the rota sheets for each exhibition, with the stewards named for each time slot (template provided)
- manage any occasions when regular stewards cannot perform their shift eg due to holidays etc, and find someone else to do their shift(s)
- understand the role of the stewards and pass on any changes or special notices that may occur
- introduce new volunteers to the Centre, and explain what is involved, hand over keys when they are ready to hold them
- inform the committee of any issues and feedback, provide suggestions if relevant
- ensure the stewards understand the role of the artists and that they know that our stewards do not sell their art for them
- act as a steward to suit own preferences, but this is optional
