Shows Upload Assistant

Shout Radio

Our Shows Team is an extension to the very busy Presentation Department and requires volunteers to help keep our shows playing, by assisting with uploading of shows to our System. Shout Radio has a large number of shows, which are pre-recorded and need to be uploaded to the Server, on a regular basis. This is quite straightforward and full training will be provided. 

Shows usually come into the station, in parts. This can be 1 hour segments of 58 minutes, 4 15 minute segments or 1 multi hour show. The Shows Assistants need to upload show segments in order, split multi hour shows, using our splitter tool and make sure that the shows are ready for airing. This opportunity is a regular commitment and requires only a couple of hours a day, to make sure that all shows that come in, are uploaded in time and are correctly setup. 

What skills do I need?

  • You will need to have knowledge of email and the Internet
  • be able to work under pressure, as well as part of a team
  • Able to commit 2 hours a day to making sure shows get uploaded for the next day
  • Friendly and courteous. 
  • Use Broadband Internet (Fibre Preferred as it is a lot faster!)

When do I need to be available?

Morning Afternoon Evening

Volunteers can choose to work from home, or come to the office and use our IT Network to upload shows
