Voluntary Community Champions

Better Minds Blackpool

Do you have a few hours a week available? Prefer to work from home when it is convenient for you? Want to work around the school run, other commitments or your current job? Do you want to make a difference to others and be valued for what you do?

Better Minds Blackpool are currently looking for support from volunteers who can access their own social media platforms in order to influence users and community members as well as friends and family to approach our services. You will be trained in all the great things we do and what we have planned for the future and you will be confident in promoting our services to others and assured that your influence has enabled others to engage with our services and made a meaningful impact on theirs and their children's lives.

We are confident in the exceptional services we offer and want you to feel the same when promoting us and our offer to others.

What skills do I need?

You have the ability to communicate well particularly in written English.

You are caring and understanding to other peoples needs.

Above all, you are non judgmental.

You can work independently with confidence in your ability.

You are self - motivated.

You will seek direction when you are unsure and use your own judgement where necessary.

You DO NOT need to be 'tech savvy' more than the ability to send and email, use Facebook and other social media.

You DO NOT need any specialist equipment.

You DO NOT need to commit to more than a few hours at a time and day which suits you.

You WILL be supported during any time you are volunteering.

You WILL be a valued member of our team and appreciated for the work you carry out.

You WILL be considered a part of the Better Minds Family.

You WILL have access to all the services Better Minds Blackpool offer.

You WILL be included (but not obliged to attend) in any social engagements the team attend in the future.

When do I need to be available?

Morning Afternoon Evening

We appreciate and value our volunteers on an ongoing basis, you can start at any time as well as building on your success to be considered for future employment. Our Better Minds Family is growing and you can grow with us and be included at any time.
