Volunteer Fundraiser

North West Blood Bikes Lancs & Lakes

We are constantly looking to strengthen our membership as the demands placed upon us to help the NHS continue to grow. There are a variety of roles within the charity which enable us to carry out our life saving work. We truly value diversity at North West Blood Bikes and recognise the value that different backgrounds, skills, outlooks and experiences of people can bring.

The role of Fundraiser is invaluable. We are a registered Charity and our source of income to run the service we provide comes from donations or fundraising events. These events can range from a supermarket store collection or a bike event to a county show.

The opportunities are endless and the role is very fulfilling. Fundraising is a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of interesting people and raise awareness of what we do as well as raising essential funds. Often you will meet people that have been directly helped by the work we do and this can make the role just that little bit more rewarding.

All of our members work on a completely voluntary basis and therefore all roles are unpaid.

The ability to work as part of a team is essential and crucial to our success. The area that the charity covers is split into five geographical areas and each hosts their own events organised by the area coordinator or area manager. Fundraisers are assigned to the area in which they live so you can volunteer right on your doorstep.

What skills do I need?

You must be friendly and able to work as part of a team, feel comfortable talking to members of the public and willing to represent our charity.

It is an advantage if you have a full driving licence and access to your own vehicle to get to events and take the kit when required
