Volunteer Fundraising Coordinator

North West Blood Bikes Lancs & Lakes

We are constantly looking to strengthen our membership as the demands placed upon us to help the NHS continue to grow. There are a variety of roles within the charity which enable us to carry out our life saving work. We truly value diversity at North West Blood Bikes and recognise the value that different backgrounds, skills, outlooks and experiences of people can bring.

The role of an Events and Talks Coordinator is invaluable. We are a registered Charity and our source of income to run the service we provide comes from donations or fundraising events. These events can range from a supermarket store collection or a bike event to a county show.

To support our fundraisers and to take a lead on events, each geographical area has an Events and Talks coordinator.

We have opportunities open for Coordinators for the following areas in which the charity operates:

East (Blackburn, Burnley and East Lancs)

Fylde (Blackpool and the Fylde Coast)

The Role

You will be responsible for confirming our attendance and organising cover for fundraisers at various events that we are invited to within your area.

You will be responsible for organising the logistics and provision of requirements such as gazebos, liveried bikes and merchandise.

You will be responsible for arranging the attendance of speakers at organised talks in conjunction with the Talks Manager.

You will also be responsible for communications with the Assistant Treasurer regarding incoming monies and for merchandise stock control in your area.

Full induction will be provided along with ongoing support from the Area Manager and Fundraising Liaison.

The opportunities are endless and the role is very fulfilling. Fundraising is a wonderful opportunity to meet lots of interesting people and raise awareness of what we do as well as raising essential funds. Often you will meet people that have been directly helped by the work we do and this can make the role just that little bit more rewarding.

We seek responsible and committed individuals who thrive given a challenge and have the time to volunteer to support the NHS.

No previous experience is necessary, a full induction and ongoing support is provided. You will not be required to attend events alone.

All of our members work on a completely voluntary basis and therefore all roles are unpaid.

What skills do I need?
