Volunteer Swimming Teacher Helpers Wanted

Active Blackpool is looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our team as Volunteer Swimming Teacher Helpers within our Learn 2 Swim programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a swimming lesson environment, support qualified teachers, and help children develop essential water confidence and life-saving skills.

As a Volunteer Swimming Teacher Helper, you will:

  • Support swimming teachers during lessons
  • Assist with setting up equipment and maintaining a safe environment
  • Encourage and motivate participants in the water
  • Help build swimmers’ confidence and enjoyment
  • Act as a positive role model for young learners













What skills do I need?

What we’re looking for are volunteers who

  • Have a passion for swimming and helping others
  • Are friendly, reliable, and approachable individuals
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • An interest in working with children or in sport/leisure
  • No previous teaching experience required (training support & mentoring will be provided)
